How do you honestly feel about Michael White? Brought something different to the table than you usually see in a Grindtime Battle. But what are you Grindtime battles and fans honest thoughts?
As of today DMX, is a free man (for now at least). Here is HipHopDXreport. The big question is where will he go? A lot of talk has come up that he will now sign with Rick Ross and Maybach music. I guess we will have to stay tuned to find out more.
Reklis & Chip City are not your everyday, run-of-the-mill rappers. No gimmicks, no gangsta raps, no pop bullsh!t. Just good music. And, they are far from amateurs…..
Reklis began writing and producing his own music at the age of eleven. After being introduced to hip-hop by a close friend, he immediately jumped on the train and began creating songs that could easily compete with the radio’s top ten. He embraced his talent and passion for music and started a series of mix tapes that soon made Reklis a household name in the small beach town of Hampton, NH from which he was raised.
It wasn’t long before Rek was performing in clubs and bars throughout the area, and collaborating with other talented aspiring artists. In 2005, he was introduced to upstate NY emcee, Chip City. The two were set to work on a track for Reklis’ upcoming project, but when they got together in the studio, they banged out not one, but several songs. It was obvious the two had a natural chemistry in the studio and they went on two create a mix tape together, which brought the two a much bigger, stronger collective following.
Chip had already established a fan base of his own in Seneca Falls, NY, but now the two had a following that was spread across the whole northeast part of the country. They continued to make records and perform together for the next couple of years before releasing their first official collaborative LP, “Reklis Radio 4,” which was sold in various major retail locations. A big landmark in their career was opening for Mobb Deep in Boston, MA summer of 2010.
Reklis & Chip City have since continued steadily on the path to success, putting out quality material and gaining fans all over the world. Their newest project is set for a spring 2011 release. Be on the look out!

Bio:
I’m Lamaj J Doh. I’m 22 years young! I was born in DC raised in
Atlanta currently living in Syracuse. I wrote my first song at 18 and
I remember rap/singing it to a friend over a TI song “Whatever She
Likes” and they told menu should try music as a career. I took the
advice more serious than they thought! From 18 to 20 I spent most of
my musical time freestyling and writing. I was constantly listening to
music. By 20 I was fortunate enough to FHA around people that had
actual recording equipment and not trying to tax on studio time lol.
By 21 I had a group of 3 producers who where constantly sending me
beats. One producer lives here in syracuse, his name is D’Cal and for
about a year he was sending me beats on the regular and we finally
linked up one day and we recorded an actual song, him France Youness
and I called ” Damn Girl”, fully mastered and I posted the song on
like 20 friends FB wall that night for feed back and to see ho would
actually listen and woke up to like 150 views I was pretty shocked.
Ever since that day D’Cal and I have been working together 5 days a
week in the studio, recording and posting songs on Youtube Facebook
and Soundcloud A couple months ago thru a mutual friend I was
introduced to Rsource and his show! I submitted my song “Bounce” feat
France Youness and one sunday I got alot of phone calls saying they
heard my song played on Z89. It was a good feeling! Been recording and
posting songs on the Internet ever since.
